How companies get listed
Listings come from two sources:
- Public business data. The core of the directory was built from public business listings for contractors operating in data-center-relevant trades — electrical, cooling/HVAC, generators, UPS service, fire suppression, structured cabling, and more — in major U.S. data center markets. Each record includes the company’s name, address, phone, and website as published by the business itself.
- Editorial research. We continuously add firms our research identifies as genuinely active in data center work — especially specialists whose public categorization hides their mission-critical focus (for example, a commercial HVAC firm whose actual business is CRAC/CRAH service). Every editorially added firm is checked against its own website for a working street address, phone number, and explicit data-center or critical-facilities services before it is published.
What “listed” means — and what it doesn’t
A listing means the company publicly operates in a data-center-relevant trade in that metro area. It is not an endorsement, a license check, an insurance check, or a guarantee of quality. We do not accept payment for inclusion in the directory, and no contractor can pay to alter another company’s listing. Always verify licensing, insurance, and references directly with any contractor before hiring — especially for mission-critical work.
Ongoing quality control
- Junk removal. We routinely purge listings that don’t belong: retail chains, residential-only service companies, and phone/PC repair shops that public data sources miscategorize as infrastructure contractors.
- Coverage sweeps. We run metro-by-metro research cycles to find data-center specialists the original data missed, verifying each addition against the company’s own website before publishing.
- Corrections. Spot an error — wrong phone, dead website, closed business, wrong trade? Tell us and we’ll fix or remove the listing.
For contractors: claim and improve your listing
If your company is listed, you can claim your listing to correct details, add your service capabilities, and upgrade to an enhanced profile. If you do data center work and you’re not listed, the same page lets you add your business.
